In memory of Robert Edmund Cochran, born September 29, 1941 in Rosser, Kaufman Co., TX, son of James Edmund Cochran and Daisey Mooney.
A Staff Sgt. in the US Army, killed in action in the Vietnam war. His
date is listed as March 10, 1968. Robert served with Delta Company as a
Staff Sgt., in the 4th Battalion of the 9th Infantry Regiment (Manchu).
brother, James Fredrick (Fred) Cochran, said Robert was a much decorated
hero with the highest award being the Distinguished Service Cross. His
was submitted for the Medal of Honor. Robert Edmund Cochran descended
from a long line of honorable men with a heritage that has been traced
to Paisley, Scotland in the 1400s.
